KISS My Assessment: Using TracDat to
Focus and Simplify Assessment

Date: Wednesday, June 18th
Time: 1:00 pm - 3:30 pm
Target Audience: This workshop audience should include current users of TracDat whose plans include more than five outcomes, individuals or institutions considering adopting TracDat, and finally academic staff who are developing or modifying assessment plans and processes.
Expected Learning
Outcomes:
Participants in the workshop will:
• Examine sample reports from TracDat
• Apply strategies for organizing and prioritizing assessment activities
• Consider the role of TracDat in guiding assessment systems that reflect best practices
Biography of Presenter:
Katharine E. Cummings earned a Ph.D. in Secondary Education with an emphasis in teacher preparation at the University of Illinois in 1989. Cummings directed the secondary education program at North Dakota State University before moving to Western Michigan University in 1999. She currently serves as the Associate Dean of the College of Education. Her research and publications have focused on the use of portfolios in higher education, assessment of candidates in teacher education, the use of case studies to prepare mentors for new teachers, and program evaluation in higher education.
