Nuventive
Signs Distribution Agreement
with Canadian Based AAHEIT
PITTSBURGH, PA, September 8, 2005
– Nuventive, a leading provider of individual and institutional
assessment solutions, today announced that it has signed an
agreement with The Alberta Association in Higher Education for
Information Technology (AAHEIT) to offer Nuventive iWebfolio
at preferred terms to AAHEIT member institutions.
Under this arrangement, AAHEIT will distribute
Nuventive iWebfolio, a leading ePortfolio solution and intellectual
asset management system to its member institutions. The Alberta
Association in Higher Education for Information Technology was
incorporated in 2005 under the Societies’ Act of Alberta
as a not-for-profit association with a vision to be an innovative
facilitator of collaboration among educational institutions
and a trusted advisor regarding information and communications
technology (ICT) in education.
iWebfolio offers the most advanced personal
information and intellectual asset management system in the
market today. Designed to help learners, educators and staff
prepare, manage, reflect, share and present the results of the
learner’s academic career as well as co-curricular and
personal experiences.
“We are always on the lookout for arrangements
that will help our 27 member institutions acquire and use information
technology more effectively,” said Michael Byrne, AAHEIT
Executive Director. “At the same time as some of our members
were expressing interest in using e-Portfolios, Nuventive approached
us about offering their service to our membership.”
Doug Baker, AAHEIT Projects Administrator,
adds, “Nuventive has been very cooperative and flexible
in structuring an arrangement that offers our members favourable
pricing and simple administration. They’ve already helped
us get iWebfolio pilot projects kicked off at a few institutions.
We’re excited that many more of our members will start
using e-Portfolios in the coming months – it’s really
catching on.”
“Nuventive recognizes the importance
of working with organizations like AAHEIT to provide its members
with the solutions needed to effectively manage and improve
the life-long learning process,” said Dave Raney, Nuventive
CEO and co-founder. “We are pleased to be able to offer
our products to the AAHEIT membership and to expand our presence
in the fast-growing Canadian market.
