Nuventive Selected by Henderson State University to Provide Comprehensive Enterprise Assessment Solution
One of Arkansas' Oldest State Universities Extends Focus on Continuous Institutional and Individual Improvement
PITTSBURGH, PA, January 16, 2006
– Nuventive, a leading provider of individual and institutional assessment solutions, today announced that Henderson State University, Arkansas' public liberal arts university, providing undergraduate curricula and graduate programs for more than a century, has selected Nuventive TracDat, an enterprise assessment management solution and iWebfolio, a leading electronic portfolio management system to manage the process of individual and institutional assessment and continuous improvement.
Located in Arkadelphia, Arkansas and established in 1890, Henderson State University is a state liberal arts university featuring nationally accredited programs in education and business. With the implementation of TracDat, the university will introduce a comprehensive Web-based enterprise planning and assessment solution which establishes consistent processes for managing program improvement across the extended enterprise of students, faculty, and administration.
The university plans to begin deployment of iWebfolio during the fall semester of 2006 in the education department, replacing a competitive product. iWebfolio will allow students, faculty and staff to prepare, manage, reflect, share and present the results of the student's academic, co-curricular and personal experience. Additionally, the solution will assist Henderson State in meeting the need for collection of evidence to support the continuous improvement objectives of the institution.
TracDat and iWebfolio will facilitate Henderson State's realization of institutional goal alignment and on-going continuous learning improvement. Real-time collection and reporting of learning evidence will further the institutional objective of program improvement and provide insight into how program objectives contribute to the institutional mission.
"Henderson State University focuses on the continuous improvement of the institution as well as on the people who teach, learn and work there", said Dr. Charles D. Dunn, President, Henderson State University. We are taking a comprehensive approach to enterprise assessment because we see the unique value of establishing a common understanding and terminology of assessment throughout the institution, which will allow us to better measure, document and manage learning outcomes."
"Leading institutions with a rich history of education like Henderson State University are looking for new ways to reinforce a culture of continuous improvement", said Dr. David Raney, Nuventive CEO. We are very pleased that Nuventive solutions were chosen to assist the university in fulfilling its critical educational mission."
