Wor-Wic Community College To Use Comprehensive Technology Package to Improve Institutional Effectiveness

TracDat's Integration with Microsoft SharePoint™ Facilitates Institution-Wide Planning Efforts
at Assessment-Focused Community College

PITTSBURGH, PA, October 11, 2011 – Nuventive, a leading provider of institutional and personal assessment software, today announced that Wor-Wic Community College has selected an integrated solution, the TracDat SharePoint Option (TSO), to enhance the assessment process by increasing staff and faculty involvement, improving data accessibility, and streamlining information management.

Wor-Wic will be using the SharePoint-based Datatel PortalT to centrally manage student information from Datatel Colleague®, and the addition of TSO will enable them to further consolidate access to critical data for assessment and planning. Wor-Wic adopted Nuventive's planning and outcomes assessment solution, TracDat, in 2009 to centrally manage outcomes and document continuous improvement. TracDat has enabled alignment of plans, as well as providing a centralized repository for assessment information, enhanced data security, and paperless reporting.

Wor-Wic's proactive assessment strategy engendered the search for further improved outcomes and assessment procedures. Wor-Wic will elevate its assessment culture by deploying the TracDat SharePoint Option institution-wide, using existing SharePoint roles to enhance user involvement. Because of the convenience of SharePoint and its current role at the institution, most users will need little, if any, in-depth training to use TSO. They will be able to efficiently access TracDat and contribute to the assessment process using the familiar SharePoint interface.
